In western Cambridgeshire lies St Neots, a market town with a rich history. As a former pilgrimage centre in England and the site of a Norman Castle, the town started rapidly in the 20th century after the second world war as an ‘overspill town’ to accommodate citizens of London as the capital’s population increased. Today the town is home to technology based industries and the developments in the area will, it is projected, increase the town’s population by 25,000 by 2036.
