From the very beginning I was impressed with gold star. From the moment I spoke with Ian I felt at ease. Our date kept changing but he remained patient keeping us posted about dates he was available. The quote he gave was brilliant and below other quotes I received yet included more! Other companies charged for boxes etc.

On the day the gentleman arrived on time and were friendly and ready to go. They used their initiative and went above and beyond my expectations. Little things like putting my toddlers nappy bag aside instead of packing it in the lorry proved priceless!
I couldn't have asked for anything else. Our family and friends that helped with the move commented on how polite and hardworking they were.
If you haven't found a removal company yet gold star are brilliant.

We asked Goldstar to help us move the contents of our 3-bedroom flat two miles into our new home. Ian Swan visited to give us a (free) quote, and based on a few minutes' visit very accurately estimated the number of boxes we needed.

He visited again to drop off boxes and packing materials (all included in the price - great value at £425 inc wardrobe rails and £30k insurance), and he offered some useful packing advice.

On the day he and his colleague were prompt, courteous, careful, efficient and flexible. No request was too small or too difficult and they really left us feeling good about the move.

Ian and his team did a splendid job for us. We were moving from a flat in East London to a house in South East London. From the initial quote appointment with Ian in our flat, we knew he knows his business inside out as he gave us plenty advice on how to pack things, timelines and all the packing materials he is providing us with (boxes, bubble wrap and wardrobe boxes). His quote was competitive and not not based on the hourly work and his professionalism made us go with Gold Star. The moving in and out day went smoothly, we still had some unpacked bits and pieces when Ian's team arrived at around 8.30am but they helped us closing the boxes and taking the furniture off the wall.They were all very polite, prompt and very caucious with furniture. Nothing got damaged and at around 3pm we were had all boxes unapacked in our new house. I would recommend Gold Star without hesitation. What an efficient team and excellent service!

Initially Ian came round to give a quote at a time that was convenient to me (after work), and provided a written quote there and then. They were the cheapest quote around by far ay £275 and they provided all of the boxes.
They were excellent on the day, they arrived at about 8.15am and left about 4.30pm when everything was finished.
 
Clothes were left in the wardrobes and they brought clothes rails round so that they were literally taken from one wardrobe and placed directly in the new house.
The van they used was large enough for my whole house, so they were able to move everything in one trip.
 
 I could not have managed without them and would have no issues at all in recommending them. .

Ian Starr came and planned all with me, including boxes and bubble etc provoded s part of the price. Then on the day, arriving promptly, his team were completely professional, communicated effectively and were competent, patient and thoughtful throughout the actiual process. WE were left waiting a couple of hours before we could enter the new abode. They waited cheerfully and supported the outgoing owner, even! They stayed calm and found good solutions when things went wrong and stuff left behind by vendor had to be removed. I can't recommend them highly enough and would re - hire anytime. Only damage was one cracked picture glass.
