Boston Flat Rate Movers

I hired Boston Best Rate Movers to do a short-distance move. I had a bunch of furniture -- including some pretty heavy stuff -- that I wasn't prepared to move myself. Boston Best Rate Movers was PERFECT. They showed up on time with a 3-person crew and very carefully padded and wrapped every single piece of furniture. Boston Best Rate Movers crew were awesome. They really seemed to enjoy their work and took great care to prevent any damage to the items they were moving. All in all, they moved furniture from a 3-bedroom house as well as yard items (like heavy potted plants, barbecue, etc.) in 6.5 hours. It was almost exactly as estimated when I originally spoke with the sales rep. I can't recommend them enough as their rates were reasonable and they did an amazing job!

I recently moved from a two family home to a single family with my husband, four children and mother in law! We had a lot of stuff and the move went well. The gentlemen from Boston Flat Rate were on time, hard working and very patient with my inquisitive 3 year old. They wrapped and moved everything carefully. When my sectional sofa was impossible to move after several attempts they placed in my garage for storage. They hoisted my entire bedroom set out second floor of old house, moved to second floor to new house without a scratch. They placed beds for my daughters exactly how they wanted. Boston Flat Rate was great! They took a lot of stress out of moving.

DO NOT WAIVE THE SUPPLEMENTAL INSURANCE!! QUOTE DOES NOT INCLUDE A MANDATORY ADDITIONAL 1 HOUR TRAVEL (MINIMUM)!!    Beware of fake reviews on this one, all the negative reviews were spot on with my experience.   I was offered $20 for over $300 worth of damage to multiple pieces of furniture. "Coincidentally" the two damaged pieces were buried beneath all the other items making it the last thing I noticed a day later. I'd tell you to check everything before they leave, but if you declined the additional insurance, they won't do anything for you anyway. Additionally we rushed to stay under the 2 hour "minimum" we paid for not realizing the travel time was not included and was additional 1 hour minimum. Guess what? In the real world where you aren't trying to cheat people, that means a 3 hour minimum. By the way, we were only 15 min away, but you'd better believe they took OVER the full hour to get to the drop off.    I STRONGLY suggest paying more for movers that aren't careless and shady.

I've used Boston Flat Rate Movers twice to move my 1 bedroom apartment-worth of stuff. Both times they have arrived early and gotten right to work.

The first time, I moved approx 1 mi down the road and they gave me a ride. They also helped move a couch in the new place into another room as well as my couch.

The second time, two wardrobe boxes were included, which I started packing while they dismantled furniture and loaded everything else into the truck. They were finished before I was, and helped me cram everything in my closet into the two boxes.

They have a 3 hour minimum, yes. It's well worth the money for the labor, and they don't mess around. I would use them again.

They were responsive and helpful from start to finish. We recently moved (within the same city) from an apartment to a house.

I did some research and reached out to various moving companies to compare prices. We chose Boston Best Rate Movers based on the quotes provided and the reviews. We'd also had a friend who used Boston Best Rate Movers right when my friend had a young toddler and was 8 months pregnant at the time, and Boston Best Rate Movers did a great job.

I spoke to Lauren and had a few emails back and forth before we agreed to terms and signed. We chose a morning window and received a call from Walter 30 mins prior to their arrival. All three movers were masked, introduced themselves, and familiarized themselves with everything that had to be moved. My husband talked to them, describing where different furniture items would go in our new home (important later!)

They got to work and were incredibly fast! We felt bad because we had some last-minute packing to do, but they were able to work around us and get a lot done. They wrapped our furniture in moving blankets and shrink wrap when appropriate and quickly moved everything into the truck. Once we arrived at our new home, they unloaded everything quickly, placing the furniture where my husband had described earlier. Since we had started in the morning and it was early afternoon, we provided lunch and they were very gracious.

Again, I highly recommend this company--they are fast, friendly, affordable, efficient and nothing was damaged in the move. As a side note, one of our neighbors at our apartment had also hired movers to move items from her garage into the truck. Boston Best Rate Movers was able to not only move us out of our old apartment but also move us into our new place before these guys even filled the back of their truck!
