Cost of Chartered Surveyors in Ashford (Kent)

Here at reallymoving, we can provide you with the average fees for Chartered Surveyors in the Ashford area. An Ashford building surveyor will give you a survey outlining the Chartered Surveyor’s inspection of the property. The surveyor will test for damp, make notes on drainage and insulation, and make an assessment on timbers and supports of the Ashford property.

Chartered Surveyor costs can vary depending on the type of survey you choose. There are different levels of surveys you can have done before you purchase your Ashford property. These are called RICS levels (The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors). You can choose between different levels for your Chartered Surveyor to assess your Ashford property after the initial valuation, the cost being higher when you choose the higher levels.

Your Chartered Surveyor fees will also vary depending on the property value of your new Ashford home. However, by using reallymoving, you can easily compare costs and get the right Ashford Chartered Surveyor for you at the best price.

Situated just outside the Kent Downs, but less than 40 minutes from London by train and under 2 hours from Paris and Brussels on the Eurostar, Ashford has both the town and the country on its doorstep. Originally a medieval market town that still retains many of its traditional features, Ashford now also boasts great transport links, shopping centres, and has become a hub for new developments in the area. A popular place to live, reallymoving has helped over 462 people move into the area over the last 12 months.

From Kent to Sussex there are ranges of chalk hills – the North and South Downs – and, as a result, oak and clay form the basic materials of many old buildings in the region around Ashford. Faults with old tiling can also be a problem in the region. Older buildings using these materials often need to be surveyed on a deeper level with a Building Survey, rather than just a HomeBuyer Report which might suit other more modern properties in the area. Regardless of what you pick, a Chartered Surveyor is crucial and could save you a lot of money you would have to do on repairs in the future if a problem was not spotted.

Once settled into your new Ashford home, the town’s designer outlet and the south downs are just some of the attractions the city has to offer.
